About Nicholas Herbert

Nicholas Herbert originally trained at Colefax & Fowler, the premier design house in the UK. For five years, he worked closely with the celebrated George Oakes.

In 1980, he launched his own furnishings and interior design company and in 1989 produced his first collection of furnishing fabrics.

The design and decoration arm of the company deals with projects both large and small. Works range from great houses such as Hatfield House, the Assembly House in Norwich and the Chateau de Balleroy to small apartments in London and cottages and farmhouses. He has also decorated a horse box and a train.

Nicholas Herbert's exclusive collections of fabrics and papers have been widely acclaimed in all the leading style and interiors magazines including Harpers & Queen, World of Interiors, House & Garden, Elle Decoration, Country Homes & Interiors, Madame Figaro and the New York Times.
